ABOUT KAREN KELLEY PERKINS, PHD

Dr. Perkins has been teaching science for over 25 years and is presently on the faculty at Santa Monica College, Pierce College and Palisades Charter High School.
Her special favorite subjects are Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biology and Botany. Favorite plants: ferns
Dr. Perkins holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, an MS in Botany from North Carolina State University, and a BA in Natural Science from Hampshire College, Amherst, MA. She is National Board Certified in teaching Adolescent and Young Adult Science and is a former Damon Runyon Cancer Research Fund Fellow.
